Terms of Service

Last updated: October 10, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Atomic Challenge (“Atomic Challenge”, “we”, “us”) for the Atomic Challenge app and website (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

1. Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) and able to form a binding agreement. If you use the Service for someone else, you confirm you may do so.

2. Your account

Keep your sign-in details safe: you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us straight away at atomicchallenge.dev@gmail.com if you think it has been used without your permission. One person, one account.

3. What the Service is

Atomic Challenge lets people create and join habit challenges, check in with proof during set windows, and compare progress on leaderboards. Results, streaks, XP and rankings are computed by our servers from your check-ins and the challenge’s rules. They are a game, not a certification of anything, and we may change how they are calculated.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post: challenge titles and descriptions, journal entries, photos and comments. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and share that content within the Service so it works as described: for example, showing your check-in to the other people in your challenge, or including your name on a leaderboard.

Visibility. Content in a challenge is visible to everyone in that challenge. Public challenges, and your display name, username, photo and stats, may be visible to anyone, including on this website. Journal text is only shown to people in the same challenge.

Only post what you have the right to post. Don’t post anything illegal, abusive, sexually explicit, violent, hateful, deceptive, infringing, or that invades someone’s privacy. Don’t post other people’s personal information.

5. Fair play

Proof is approved automatically, so the game only works if people are honest. Don’t submit fake proof, reuse photos, manipulate clocks, run automated accounts, or spam invites. Don’t harass, impersonate or threaten anyone. Don’t interfere with the Service or try to access it in ways we didn’t intend.

6. Moderation and enforcement

We have zero tolerance for abusive or objectionable content: harassment, hate, threats, sexual content and anything illegal. Text you write is checked against a word filter, and you can report content or people from inside the app, block people, and leave any challenge. We review every report within 24 hours and remove content that breaks these terms, and may eject the person who posted it. Challenge creators can remove participants from their challenge. We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms, without notice where the situation calls for it. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Account and privacy, or as described on our delete your account page.

7. Invites and sharing

Invite links are personal: anyone who has one can view the challenge and, while joining is open, join it. Only invite people who want to hear from you. Email invites are sent on your behalf and show your display name.

8. Our content

The Service, including its design, code, trademarks and the starter challenges, is ours or our licensors’. We give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the app on your devices for personal, non-commercial use. Don’t copy, modify, sell or reverse-engineer it except where the law allows.

9. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep the Service running, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may change, pause or stop features at any time. We may update these terms; if a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which for a free service is nothing. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

Challenges may involve physical activity, diet or other lifestyle changes. You take part at your own risk and should get professional advice where appropriate. We don’t provide medical, fitness or financial advice.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia, and disputes will be handled in its courts, unless mandatory law in your country says otherwise.
